Your first morning, start to finish
-
Arrive and park
The west lot fills first; greeters in amber lanyards wave you toward the doors and a front-row spot by the entrance.
-
Check in your kids
Secure check-in prints matching name tags, so nothing gets handed to the wrong grown-up. Ages 6 weeks through 5th grade at both services.
-
Coffee and hellos
The donut table sits in the lobby, and it is not a metaphor: come early, eat a donut, let somebody learn your name.
-
Worship
The traditional service gathers for about 45 minutes; the contemporary for about 60. Stand, sit, and sing if you want: nobody audits your participation.
-
Walk out with a next step
The greeter desk hands you a Harborlight card and points you to a Cove Group near your street. Nobody signs anything on day one.
Common questions
What should I wear?
Whatever you already own. Jeans outnumber ties every Sunday, and both sides of the room sit full.
How long is the service?
The traditional service wraps in about 45 minutes; the contemporary runs about 60. Stepping out quietly is allowed: all of us have needed it once.
What happens with my kids?
Kids stay with you or check in to HarborKids; the choice is yours. Checked-in kids get secure name tags, screened workers, and a room built for their age.
Where do I park?
The west lot off Birchline fills first, but the east lot is a shorter walk than it looks. Greeters direct from both.
Do I have to give?
No. Guests are never asked for money. Giving is an act of worship for people who call Harborlight home, and the plate passes right by on your first Sunday.
